PNW Protectors Orca - Carbon X

PNW Protectors Orca -  A special release collaboration blade to support and raise awareness for PNW Protectors.

"There's a family of Orcas called the Southern Resident Orcas who live in the cold celadon waters of the Pacific Northwest. These orcas are fish eaters. Specifically salmon.

And right now, these Orcas are nightmarishly close to extinction because they are starving to death.

And we can all together do something to save them:

The balance is wounded right now due to 4 dams that kill 8 million salmon every year and block salmon from spawning. Scientists have shown that if we breach these dams, we will save the Southern Resident Orcas and wild salmon from extinction.

But we need to act right now."

    Snow McCormick (@swimming_in_moonlight)

These bioresin blades feature artwork by Snow McCormick and both a PNW Protectors and a Sommerso brand on just one side of each blade.

A percentage of profits will be donated directly to PNW Protectors ~ working together and spreading awareness to protect wild salmon, orcas, kelp and the Salish Sea.

Sommerso Carbon X Blades are designed and fine-tuned to reduce your energy consumption with each kick, without losing speed and increasing performance.

This is achieved with its unique inner fibre layers placed at just the right areas so that with every for and aft kick you get the return snap that is unique to our carbon X blades.

The top side has a smooth gloss finish and the underside a seal skin texture to maximise our hydrodynamic design.

Our blades are all hand built using bioresin and take time to produce the quality that we pride ourselves on. Production times may vary depending on volume, with custom art taking longer than plain carbon.
